We are passionate about all children having the opportunity to access quality education.
As Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Since 2009, we have been partnering with Community Primary Schools in the Copperbelt Province in Zambia. These schools have developed significantly over the years; growing from one classroom and one or two unqualified volunteer teachers, to well established, high achieving schools with fully qualified staff.
By supporting the teachers in their training and professional development, empowering them to lead their schools
All this is made possible by the Child Sponsorship programmewhich contributes to the teachers’ salaries and the children’s education and nutrition.
Our partnerships in Zambia are with Community Primary Schools that end in Grade 7. Yet, we know that quality education increases opportunity for employment, and research shows that just one stable income into a family can radically change livelihoods.
Therefore, we offer High School Bursaries to pupils who either show a particular aptitude for learning or are from a family of greater need and show academic potential.
It is our desire to see the students’ realise their potential, for their dreams to become a reality and for their families and communities to be transformed.

We are working closely with Jolly Phonics, a literacy programme based in the UK which has had significant success worldwide, and the Ministry of Education in Zambia. Together we are exploring the potential for how Zambia could benefit from adopting Jolly Phonics. We are seeing exciting developments which could have national significance over the coming years.
